Look closely at the 4th signature on the right. It was signed by a "John Pentland". Also look carefully at the signature just below his, we now believe that signature is a "George Pentland"
The reason for signing this Covenate was to tell the King that "Jresus Christ is the head of the church, not the King of England. Many "Covenators", ( as they were called), were killed because of their stand against the King. Pentlands were mostly devout Presbyterians.
